Letter from the Governor of Illinois  

We had all left Chicago by the time Jim Edgar took office as Governor of Illinois, so our only knowledge of him comes from what we have learned as adults. Edgar is a Republican, and though he suffered a heart attack a few weeks before The Cragin, he was still kind enough to also send us a note of congratulations.
